From the 2010-2011 Season: THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is a hilarious tale of overachievers' angst as six adolescent outsiders vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show's Tony Award winning creative team has created the unlikeliest Broadway musical about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time. Featuring audience members who compete onstage, THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is directed by Buffalo native and SPELLING BEE Broadway cast member, Greg Stuhr.
The running time of the production is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, including intermission.
