Inspired by the shifting seasons, Buffalo’s own Alex McArthur returns to the MusicalFare Cabaret stage for a special concert, featuring songs centered around the perspectives & feelings that accompany change.

The evening will feature songs by Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Sara Bareilles, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac & many more, including some originals by Alex! Accompanied by Harry Graser, join us for a special evening you won’t want to miss.

"As we are all transitioning from summer into autumn, I am comforted by the many ways our natural world effortlessly shows us that change is an essential part of life. Regardless of how much time passes, the process of accepting what is, growing from the past, and moving forward is inevitable, and necessary. Music has always helped me to do that. A concert of songs that exemplify the many feelings that come with change, my intention is to offer comfort, inspiration, and hope to those who may need it.”

An evening of virtuosic four hands piano and song featuring touring artists Theresa Quinn and Randall Kramer performing favorite American classical, pop, rhythm and blues and musical theatre selections.

Set in 1595, this hysterical 9-time Tony nominee follows the Bottom Brothers who set out to write the world’s first musical and attempt to compete with a certain rock-star playwright of the Renaissance. A 16th century tale with 21st century sensibilities. 

Written by Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown (PARADE), this intensely personal look at the five year relationship between a writer and an actress is told from both points of view: she chronicles their union from the end to the beginning, he from the beginning to the end.

This production is NOT a part of the Mainstage Season of Musicals - it is part of the Cabaret Musical Series. 

In this emotionally charged, Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musical, a suburban household copes with family secrets, crisis and unpredictability with poignancy, humor and love.

Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker, is stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage. When a baking contest offers her a chance at escape, Jenna must weigh her commitments against a rare shot at freedom and recognition. It’s a recipe for happiness!
