On Saturday, October 17, the world lost one of its promising jazz pianists and artists.  Angelo Di Loreto, a native of Western New York, passed at the age of 30.  His death affecting many of us in WNY, in New York City, and throughout the globe in such places as the Netherlands and Italy.

On Friday, December 4, we will have the opportunity to remember and pay tribute to Angelo.  Led by Philippe Lemm and Jeff Koch, bandmates in the Philippe Lemm Trio, they will perform a memorial jazz concert to honor Angelo.  This concert will be in place of the originally scheduled concert with the Philippe Lemm Trio, which was to be part of the Live From Premier Cabaret Lounge live stream jazz series.

On piano, will be Adam Kromelow.  Angelo and Adam made up the formidable piano duo of the Genesis Piano Project.  Adam introduced Angelo to the music of the British progressive-rock band Genesis. They came up with the idea to re-arrange their groundbreaking compositions to be performed on two pianos.

The trio of Philippe Lemm, Jeff Koch, and Adam Kromelow will share stories about their music collaborator and friend.  Performing music from the repertoire of the Philippe Lemm Trio and the Genesis Piano Project.

The viewing audience will be able to make a donation in Angelo’s memory to the Mental Health Association of Erie County or the National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI) NYC.

This memorial jazz concert will be a special evening of remembering one of the finest persons and jazz artists to ever come from the Buffalo area.  We hope you will join us, his family, and his many friends in remembering the music of Angelo Di Loreto.
