This is Debbie’s first appearance back on MusicalFare’s main stage since her portrayal of Rosemary Clooney in TENDERLY: THE ROSEMARY CLOONEY MUSICAL. She was last seen in INDECENT at the Kavinoky Theatre. Her most recent real-life role, though, that has proved to be most thrilling, is that of grandmother to Jules. Favorite past roles at MusicalFare include Trina in FALSETTOS, Rona Lisa Peretti in THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, and Rhoda in A NEW BRAIN. Other past favorites include MAMMA MIA (Donna), SHE LOVES ME (Amalia), THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD (The Princess Puffer), LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA (Margaret), and JAMES JOYCE’S THE DEAD (Gretta). She appeared in the Artpark productions of PETER PAN (Mrs. Darling), MARY POPPINS (Mrs. Banks), THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Elsa), and CINDERELLA (Stepmother). Debbie is a three-time recipient of the Artie Awards and is married to Norman Sham, her favorite partner, on and off the stage.
