From the 2012-2013 Season: Using Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations as the link, we witness a mother coming to terms with her daughter and a composer coming to terms with his genius. And, even though they're separated by 200 years, these two people share an obsession that might, even just for a moment, make time stand still. Drama, memory and music combine to transport you from present-day New York to 19th century Austria in this extraordinary American play with music about passion, parenthood and the moments of beauty that can transform a life. Featuring MusicalFare Artistic Director, Randall Kramer, at the piano.
The running time of the production is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including intermission.
