Self-proclaimed Fashion Activist, Phylicia is the founder of IamPhyNomenal LLC, a consultant company built to redesign and propel one’s vision from business to stage productions through visual story telling. The Brooklyn, NY native and mom of two sons, moved to Buffalo, NY shortly after graduating from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Executive Leadership and Change from Daemen University leading into a career within the not for profit sector. In 2015, Phylicia took the bold step into entrepreneurship and became a wardrobe stylist and self taught seamstress. She is most notably recognized as the Founder of Black Monarchy LLC, an Afro-futuristic luxury brand who’s brick and mortar nestled in the Five Points neighborhood in the City of Buffalo’s West Side for 7 years. Robinson Dove and her fashionpreneurial endeavors have gained her notable success including being named a 3x business pitch winner through 43 North LLC and Facebook respectively. In February 2022 she debuted in her first New York Fashion Week collection.
Most recently, Robinson Dove became Shea’s Buffalo Theatre’s first costume designer in her breakout Artie Nominated debut as the Wardrobe/Costume Designer for Shea’s 710 Theater ONCE ON THIS ISLAND.
Her work has been highlighted in over 40 publications including Broadway World, The Washington Post, Smith & Gale, Pump Magazine, Buffalo Business First, Buffalo Rising and The Challenger News. Phylicia has received community awards and acknowledgements including being named a 2020 Buffalo Black Achiever, 2022 Luminary Award from the University at Buffalo School of Management, 2022 Distinguished Alum Award from Daemen University, and the 2022 recipient of the Emerging Leader Award from the Buffalo Urban League.
