Written by the award-winning  team of Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, SEUSSICAL,) and noted playwright Terrence McNally, and based on E.L. Doctorow's distinguished novel, RAGTIME was the winner of the 1998 Tony Awards for Best Score and Book and both the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Musical and Best Score. Called by TIME Magazine "a triumph for the stage," this acclaimed musical is filled with pageantry, emotion and hope, bursting onto the stage like no other. 

The running time of the production is approximately 2 hours, 35 minutes, including intermission.

This Tony® Award Winning musical is set on December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever.  Showcasing hit songs including Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, Great Balls of Fire, Folsom Prison Blues, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, Hound Dog, and many more!

When blind date newbie Aaron is set up with serial-dater Casey, a casual drink at a busy New York restaurant turns into a hilarious high-stakes dinner. As the date unfolds in real time, the couple quickly finds that they are not alone on this unpredictable evening  when other restaurant patrons transform into supportive best friends, manipulative exes and protective parents, who sing and dance them through ice-breakers, appetizers and potential conversational land mines. Can this couple turn what could be a dating disaster into something special before the check arrives?
