Thembi holds a B.A. in Theatre, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Maryland, and an M.S. in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from SUNY Potsdam. She serves on the faculty of the Dramatic Arts MFA program at D’Youville University, is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the African American Cultural Center, and hosts two podcasts.
